Every AI Visibility Tool in 2026, Compared: Profound, Semrush, Ahrefs, Similarweb, Azoma, Peec and the Rest

Last updated August 2026

TL;DR: There are now four kinds of AI visibility tool. Enterprise platforms (Profound, Azoma), SEO suites with an AI toolkit (Semrush, Ahrefs, Similarweb), self-serve trackers (Peec, Otterly, AthenaHQ, Scrunch, Rankscale, Writesonic, Goodie), and India-first tools (GetSeenInAI). Prices run from free snapshots to $828 a month for full Ahrefs coverage to custom enterprise quotes. This page lists what each one costs, which engines it covers, what it is built for, and the one thing to check before you pay. We sell one of these tools, so the last section is where we say which ones beat us and on what.

How to read this page

Every price below is either quoted from the vendor's own pricing page as of August 2026 or, where marked "reported", taken from third-party reviews published in 2026. AI visibility pricing changes monthly. Use the table to shortlist, then confirm on the vendor page.

"Engines" means answer engines the tool measures: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Copilot, Claude, Grok, Meta AI, DeepSeek, Amazon Rufus, Walmart Sparky. Nobody covers all of them on an entry plan.

The enterprise platforms

Profound is the category leader. Three public tiers, with the enterprise tier unlocking up to nine engines, an API, SSO and the deepest citation drill-down on the market, from cited domain to page to the text chunk the engine used.[1] Built for enterprise brands and agencies, and priced for them. Read our head-to-head if you want the blunt version.

Azoma is agentic-commerce optimization for large consumer brands: measurement across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Amazon Rufus and Walmart Sparky, product-data audits, PDP content generation and syndication. Customers named in its June 2026 framework launch include Mars, Unilever, L'Oréal, Beiersdorf and Reckitt.[2] Custom pricing, pilot-led. If you sell through Amazon at scale, this is the specialist.

The SEO suites that added an AI toolkit

Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit. $99 a month per domain on annual billing, 25 custom prompts a day, mentions across ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini and Perplexity, an AI-readiness site audit, a seven-day trial.[3] The natural pick if your team already lives in Semrush. The thing to check: 25 prompts is one topic. Our comparison goes deeper.

Ahrefs Brand Radar. Per AI index at $199 a month or $699 for all six, on top of an Ahrefs plan, so reviewers compute around $828 a month for full coverage.[4] The prompt database is the draw. The thing to check: your quote, because Ahrefs does not publish an all-in figure. Our comparison is here.

Similarweb AI Search Intelligence. A $99 standalone tier with AI Traffic, AI Brand Visibility and Website Rankings, and a $399 tier that adds the competitive intelligence, SEO and AEO suites, across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and AI Mode.[5] The differentiator is the attempt to connect AI mentions to actual visits. The thing to check: the page does not say whether $99 is monthly or annual.

The self-serve trackers

Peec AI. About €85, €205 and €425 a month for three engines per tier with add-ons for more, a hundred-plus languages, regional share of voice, unlimited seats, and SKU-level shopping analytics since mid-2026.[6] A strong European default. Our comparison is here.

Otterly. The cheapest credible tracker at a reported $29 a month for 15 prompts across four engines, with $189 and $489 tiers and Gemini and AI Mode as add-ons.[7] If you only need to know whether you appear, start here.

AthenaHQ. $295 a month self-serve on a credit model, eight engines, an Action Center and a chat copilot, enterprise from around $2,000.[8] The thing to check: how fast your prompt set burns credits.

Scrunch AI. $300 and $500 a month on self-serve with seven engines, plus crawler analytics, and Sitecore acquired the company in June 2026.[9]

Rankscale. $20 to $780 a month on a credit pool with engines billed at different rates and the widest engine list, 17-plus.[10] The thing to check: the bill is hard to predict.

Writesonic GEO. Reviewers report AI visibility tracking from the $249 a month Professional tier, with the cheaper tiers being writing tools.[11] Pick it if you want content writing and tracking in one seat.

Goodie AI. Explorer at a reported $399 a month with 100 prompts and three engines, Rufus on the quote-only Pro plan.[12] Built by an agency team, oriented to Amazon-first brands.

The free snapshots

HubSpot's AEO Grader, Semrush's AI Search Visibility Checker (three checks a day) and Ahrefs's AI Visibility Checker are genuinely free and need no signup.[13] They tell you, once, how a few engines describe your brand. None of them tracks over time or generates the fix, and those two things are usually what the snapshot tells you that you need.

Where GetSeenInAI sits, and who beats us

GetSeenInAI is a free check that runs 12 real ChatGPT questions for your category, then a ₹3,999 a month workspace that measures daily, tracks up to 40 of your own prompts with a mention history per prompt, shows share of voice and who wins each question, asks the same questions as a buyer in an Indian city, clusters sentiment from verbatim excerpts, and turns lost questions into Opportunities with steps and drafted pages that push to WordPress. One engine today through official APIs, Gemini and Perplexity next. Public methodology, stability chip, CSV export. No teams, SSO or API yet.

Who beats us, plainly: Profound on engines, citation depth, panel-based volumes and enterprise features. Ahrefs and Semrush on Google's AI surfaces and on prompt databases. Peec on languages and seats. Azoma and Goodie on Amazon Rufus. Similarweb on connecting mentions to traffic.

Where we are the better pick: an Indian brand whose buyers ask ChatGPT, a founder or marketer who wants the exact prompts and the fix rather than a nine-engine dashboard, a budget of one lunch a week, and a preference for tools that show their methodology and refuse to invent numbers.

The one thing to check before paying for any of them

Run the tool's free check or trial on the questions your buyers actually ask, in the country they ask from. Every tool on this page scores a brand. Only a few can tell you why the answer changes when the asker is in Hyderabad, and only a few will draft the page that changes it. Decide on that, not on the engine count.
